Sherlock seems to be settling in quite well. He's gained a lot of good weight in just the few days we've had him. He was ever so gaunt and raggedy the night we picked him up. I've found that he LOVES Gerber's Apple & Chicken baby food. He comes out and licks it right off our fingers. Apparently, short tail opossums are very short sighted, so it's suggested you "sound" train them to get them to come out and play. R and I decided to make a clicking type sound to be his queue. He's caught on quite well, though he will still dodge our attempts to pick him up.
Saturday was mom-in-law's birthday, I had to work but R went over and had dinner with them and their friends and he brought Sherlock in his coat (he has a pocket on the inside that is PERFECT, makes me jealous that my coat doesn't have anything similar. MIL said Sherlock is her THIRD favourite grand-critter, haha but she thought he was cute despite his rodent features.I'm having a hard time resisting the call of ice cream. I just ate half a bag of salt 'n vinegar potato chips and ice cream sounds sooooo good right now, even though I know it will destroy me.
This weekend I'm taking a road trip with my mom to my biological dad's parents house. Stuff has been hard since my cousin died. Apparently, he died as a result from taking "bath salts" (is it just me or is that a new thing?). I'm dreading the trip now. It's just one big anxiety attack waiting to happen...
Ooh and R got promoted! He is now a trainer :] So proud of my Puma.
