SHERLOCK
We have a new cute!
This is Sherlock, a Brazilian Short Tail Opossum. He looks like a mouse, but he has a super cool tail that grips your fingers, and little opposable toes on his back feet. He was in need of a new home and R and I being unable to withstand anything cute, quickly snatched him up and brought him home to our little townhouse of fuzzies.
I bet when my mom used to tell me all the time as a child that, "When you grow up and have your own place, you can have whatever animal you want," that she never thought I would take her seriously.
Challenge accepted, mom.

My cousins used to get opossums in their house sometime. It was hilarious. You are actually the second friend of mine from Xanga to have a pet opossum.
Her certainly does look like a Sherlock. I approve. +10 cool points for bad ass naming skills.

@boxedwine - I love my weird pets. Everyone has sugar gliders and hampsters, but who has a hedgehog and an opossum?? Haha, my mom freaked out for a minute until I was able to explain it wasn't the type of opossum she was thinking of!
@AdamsWomanFell - He is so cute. When I hold him he peers over the edge of my hands with his tail firmly wrapped around my thumb. I'll have to get videos soon!
